Exploring Implantable Collamer Lenses
Unlike PRK, LASIK, and other refractive surgical procedures that reshape the cornea, implantable collamer lenses take a different approach to vision correction. Also known as ICL or EVO ICL, these lenses are placed inside the eye to help improve how light is focused without removing corneal tissue.
Because ICL does not rely on reshaping the cornea, it may be considered for some patients who are not ideal candidates for traditional laser eye procedures. The lens works alongside your natural eye to help correct vision and may help reduce the need for glasses or contact lenses.
